Estyn report for reading:
"Following discussions with pupils in our thematic visits, almost all pupils understand the importance of reading to support their learning and their life opportunities in the future. They understand that reading is an important part of their education and see it as part An integral part of work and everyday life. Although not all pupils enjoy reading, they see the value of developing their reading skills."

Mae gan yr URDD gylchgronau Cymraeg rhad ac am ddim ar gael; trwy arwyddo. Bydd y cylchgrawn yn cael ei e-bostio atoch pan fyddant yn rhyddhau rhai newydd bob yn ail fis.

The URDD have free Welsh magazines available; by signing up. The magazine will be emailed to you when they release new ones bi monthly.

Ar wefan DarllenCo, mae gan bob myfyriwr gyfrif DarllenCo – maent yn mewngofnodi drwy ddefnyddio eu henw defnyddiwr a chyfrinair HWB.

Gall y disgyblion ddewis yr hyn yr hoffent ei ddarllen.

The DarllenCo website, all students have a DarllenCo account – they sign in by using their HWB username and Password. The students can choose what they’d like to read.

All students are encouraged to have a look through our library in school, and pick any books they like to bring home to read. Please ensure these books come back to school when finished, here they can choose a new book to take home.

Reading is very important and will help in all areas of school life. Reading one page a night is better than not reading at all, listening to 20 minutes of a podcast is better than not listening to any Welsh.
